Aleatory Records was formed for one purpose: To bring the aleatoric arts to the mainstream consciousness.
By doing this we aim to widen the spectrum of chance art to include music, writing, painting, photography, motion picture and more.
Our slogin: "Aleatoric form reacts to the Unknown Known" refers to the idea that as artists we are conduits to some order that is outside our current understanding and control. We allow that order to flow through our instruments of expression by exploring different methods of chance.
By chance we do not mean randomness. Chance comes about from a set of cause relationships that is outside our understanding and control whereas randomness is void of having any relationships to anything.
